Positive Beauty @The Eco Makeup Bar

About 8 years ago I had a goal that I wanted to write a book.  I never actually did but I have written so much in my career that It could easily have been a book by now. Shoulda. Coulda. Woulda. Maybe there's still time!

What hasn't changed is what I would write about and my ethos when it comes to makeup, beauty and style.  My style as a makeup artist and what you'll see stocked at The Eco Makeup Bar is underpinned by Positive Beauty.  

Positive Beauty is a construct I coined over 8 years ago when I first had some headspace to think about 'me' again after having kids.  This is the way I've approached every face I've ever worked on, every person I've ever had a conversation with and the way I think about life.

When I find something beautiful about you I tell you. When I do your makeup you look gorgeous because thats whats in your heart. Most of all you feel great inside and that’s what I love. I call it positive beauty. I am unapologetic with a compliment.

Makeup DIY is my way of bringing this feeling into your ensuite, your bathroom mirror, the compact in your handbag. Beauty is accessible, it's easy, you don’t need to invest thousands of dollars to look great and it doesn’t have to be intimidating. It's something you can make time for, just for you. I will show you how.

Why natural?  You can read more on 'my why' but for me, really, why not?  I've handpicked brands and lines that work hard to tread lightly on the planet, don't include suspect ingredients in their formulas and are always cruelty free.  I believe there is a swap for every 'conventional' makeup product and personally I would love to help you find the right ones for you.   In totality I am about empowerment and technique and teaching you want you want to learn- with of course a side of positive beauty x
